  Prince Andrew is considered such an embarrassment to the Royal Family that Buckingham Palace insiders briefed the Press this week that he should 'do the decent thing' and voluntarily withdraw from public view over Christmas. No sooner had these insiders' opinions been published than the Duke of York said he would not be joining the rest of his family at Sandringham at all.             

    The knives have come out - and so has the truth. What we're learning is terrifying. Infuriating. An unacceptable abuse of power, a usurpation of the presidency itself by a nameless, faceless cohort. Will we ever know who these conspirators are? Two bombshell reports out this week, in the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal, depict a president thoroughly out to lunch for his entire term: Top cabinet members unable to reach him. Staff regularly taking his place at official events. Biden refusing to hold morning meetings but clocking out at 4pm — even though he naps every day and, in July, announced that he'd no longer hold events after 8pm. Meanwhile, Biden's campaign spokesperson Kevin Munoz sought to deflect his boss's dereliction by, you guessed it, going after Trump.

  When I saw an interview with American filmmaker Tyler Perry published by the Times of London was causing a stir online, my first thought was... 'Who the hell is Tyler Perry?'             

  For at least the past decade, the 'ideal' female form has included among its list of assets pneumatic breasts, pillowy lips and a very much larger-than-average rear end. In other words, it has been the face and body of reality TV star and multi-millionaire businesswoman Kim Kardashian. For lesser mortals, and perhaps for Kim, too, the fastest way to get there has been by using filler. And, boy, have we embraced it in the UK.             

            Removal men have been spotted stripping The Groucho Club of its furniture after a man was arrested on suspicion of raping a woman inside the members-only club which has been closed amid an investigation. Sofas, chairs and tables were being dragged out of the celebrity haunt on Dean Street, Soho, this afternoon, with removal staff seen loading up vans full of furniture. The Groucho Club, frequented in the past by the likes of likes of Princess Diana, Kate Moss and Harry Styles, was shut with immediate effect at the request of police on Tuesday. The Met Police today said a 34-year-old man was arrested last night after being detained at a Hertfordshire address on suspicion of rape. He remains in custody.             ...

              JONATHAN MCEVOY: Bernie Ecclestone is selling his private car collection believed to be worth more than £300million as he looks to put some of his affairs in order. Ecclestone has been accumulating his unique collection since at least the early 1970s, and it is believed to be the most valuable assembly of its sort in the world. There are 69 cars up for sale, including the Ferraris of Michael Schumacher, Niki Lauda and that of Britain's first world champion Mike Hawthorn in 1958. One highlight is the red machine that Schumacher drove to the title in 2002. It is thought to be worth more than £10m.
